Take A Step Back In Time With Your Racing Heart

Forming around 2008, or at least subconsciously through his self-themed artwork, Micah Freeman seems to present authentic messages of self discovery, creativity, and how to tell a story in his music. When I had an art class with this aspiring musician, Micah Freeman always seemed to be the creative type that was wandering around, yet just vibing with the mode of life. Fast forward a little bit of time, and this Maryland native time travels in his newest album taking on the persona, of a timetraveler who goes through the waves of music as an homage to music’s evolution in the themes of his music. Accompanying Freeman on the album are noted collaborators, Ethereal & Keithcharles Spacebar. Sounding like a fusion of 90s rap and new age club beats in the sound track, Freeman mixes rhymes, cultural references, and feel good moods within his music. Previously, releasing some small eps online, On The Timepiece, was released in August after being well received with his single, Racing Hearts. Lastly, by Freeman making himself the face of his musician persona, as seen by a black and white cutout of himself on his splashpage, I think listeners are intrigued as to who Micah Freeman is evolving to be through his musical journey.
