Let’s Get Freaky! A Call For October Submissions

October is the month that all the proverbial freaks come out of the closet to partaaay! Yes, Halloween is rearing it’s monstrous head again (in a fun way!) and all the good, the bad and the ugly come together to celebrate.

Halloween is the time when the lines between normal and “weird” become blurred and often the more outré one’s outfit the more likely they are to be embraced and possibly revered. In the spirit of this haunted holiday (and the fact that the fashion crowd loves a good costume party), we invite you to explore the fringes of your imagination and push the envelope on concepts to come up with something truly “spooktacular”!

Play with the avant-garde, utilize interesting sculptural and conceptual styling, take beauty to the extreme, experiment with unconventional locations, challenge conventional model poses and push artful ideas to new heights. Now, not every submission must be darkly ghoulish, a clever take on the lighter side of life is also welcome. As much as we like tricks, we love treats as well!

So go ahead, get your freak on!

THE RULES
· This is open to all photographers and creative teams.
· Must be a new and/or unpublished editorial.
· Must contain wardrobe and/or accessories from emerging or independent designers/brands/vintage ONLY.
· Nudity is allowed, however must be implemented tastefully.
· PLEASE make sure to check our submission requirements before submitting.
· Last but not least...HAVE FUN!!!

DEADLINE INFORMATION
All submissions are due to us at photos@papercutmag.com by October 7th, 2012 at midnight US EST (NO EXCEPTIONS). Please make sure the subject line is October 2012 Submission. If interest is high, we may be open to extending the deadline.

All submissions will receive an email confirmation to ensure that we have received your work. Please note that this is NOT an auto-reply, so it may take us a few hours or days for us to confirm.
