The Hood Internet Sets the Record Straight
Contrary to popular belief, there does exist certain musical groups that project the same irresistible energy as the lovable furry creatures that were part of my formative years, aka: (affectionately known as) The Care Bears. Knowing full well that The Care Bears are a imaginative figment in a cartoon, I carry the same love for these musical groups and run screaming with hugs abound. The intensity of this adoration may scare off even the likes of The Hood Internet, but I’ll reassure them that my exclamation of excitement is due to their immense awesomeness (and overriding ability to create exceptional music tracks).
This Chicago-based production duo birthed unto the world their first album of original material, wonderfully titled FEAT just this month. Quickly following such a curious venture with their standard extension into mashups of others’ music, The Hood Internet brought forth a quirky home-video-esque music video for their single, “One for the Record Books”. Featuring SIMS and A.C. Newman, this ditty carries an uplifting tone, keen with synth and organs. Captivating with ease, this single by The Hood Internet brings about a dance party, population of one.
All we can say is, dance on.
